We have a lot to say about sustainability.
Why? Because sustainability in fashion is complicated. And there is much to improve. But also because SKOT wants to go a step further to make clothing with a good story.
We are travelling. We want to contribute to a sustainable clothing world. This means that we also have plenty of room for improvement. But it starts with transparency and a clear vision about sustainability in fashion.

WHAT IS SUSTAINABLE CLOTHING?
It's actually very simple: this is clothing that is made with respect for people and nature, and so that future generations can enjoy a clean and beautiful world.
However, making clothing places a considerable burden on people and the environment. Production is polluting, it produces a huge amount of waste and the conditions in which people have to work are not OK. And in our desire to always look nice, we force the clothing world to produce cheaper and faster. This is a negative spiral that only increases the burden.
SKOT wants to show how it should be done:
| Sustainable production | Clean factories and good working conditions. |
| Durable materials. | Materials that can grow without burdening the earth too much, or are even recycled. Which does not contain unnecessary junk such as pesticides. And it is also of high quality so that it lasts a long time. |
| Buy consciously. | Keep your footprint as small as possible. Use your mind, take good care of your clothes instead of always buying new ones. Buy local, and choose brands you believe in. |
